How to use these answers

The answers are deliberately short. Each one names who is responsible (Aena, the airline, the border police or a transport company) and links to the page with the full detail. Where a price, timetable or opening time is quoted, it was checked on 9 October 2026; these change, so confirm with the operator before relying on them.

Who to contact

Aena's general information line is (+34) 913 211 000. For check-in, boarding, delays and missing baggage, contact your airline or its ground handler. Live flight information

This page does not repeat live flight data. For today's flights use departures and arrivals, and always confirm your gate and carousel on the terminal screens and with your airline.

  • Fast Lane covers security only, not passport control.
  • Report missing bags at the handler's desk before leaving the reclaim hall.
  • There is no train to Marbella; the C-1 ends at Fuengirola.

Frequently asked questions

How many terminals does Málaga Airport have?
One connected passenger terminal. Aena gives it as "PAX" in its flight information and maps a single terminal building. T1, T2 and T3 are the historic buildings that were joined together, and the names survive only as zone labels such as "Basement. Terminal 2". If your boarding pass names a terminal, go to level 1 and follow your check-in desk number. Read the airport guide.
Which floor is departures on, and which is arrivals?
Check-in and departures are on level 1. Arrivals, baggage reclaim, the taxi rank, the bus stop and the train are on level 0. Car hire and the coach station are on level -1, the upper airside level with the VIP lounge is level 2, and bus-boarding gates are on levels 0 and E. See the terminal walk-through.
How early should I arrive at Málaga Airport?
Aena recommends 3 hours before a non-Schengen flight (for example the UK or Ireland) and 2 hours before a domestic or Schengen flight. Aena's Málaga page asks assisted passengers to arrive 2.5 hours before departure and to be at the meeting point at least 2 hours before departure; Aena's booking portal mentions 2.5 hours at the meeting point, so plan for 2.5 hours if you can. Check-in and gate deadlines are set by your airline. Security and passport control.
Is Málaga Airport open 24 hours?
Yes. The airport, customs and immigration operate 24 hours. Flights are very few in the small hours, and shops and restaurants keep their own hours. Aena publishes no policy on sleeping in the terminal. Opening hours.
Do I go through passport control when flying to the UK or Ireland?
