Málaga Airport contacts: who to call for what
Most problems at Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport are handled by one specific organisation, and calling the wrong one wastes time. This page sorts the published contacts by problem: airport information and lost property (Aena), flights and tickets (your airline), missing suitcases (the ground handler working for your airline), assistance, transport, complaints and emergencies. Numbers were checked on 9 October 2026 against Aena, ENAIRE and operator sources.
What is the problem?
Flight delayed, cancelled or changed
Checked bag missing or damaged
Left something in the terminal
Need assistance at the airport
Train, bus or coach question
Emergency
For general airport information and lost property, call Aena on (+34) 913 211 000 or use the forms on aena.es. Flight changes, refunds and check-in are handled by your airline. A missing or damaged checked bag must be reported at the ground handler's baggage desk in the reclaim hall before you leave. In an emergency, call 112.

Aena: airport information
Aena operates Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport and answers for the terminal, its facilities, the official car parks, lost property found in the building and the assistance service. Aena publishes the airport as open 24 hours, every day.
- General information: (+34) 913 211 000. Aena's written enquiries go through web forms on its contact page.
- Support Office for Passengers, Users and Customers at the airport: (+34) 952 048 837 or (+34) 952 048 851.
- Airport switchboard (administration, as published in the aeronautical information publication): +34 952 048 887.
- Information desks in the terminal: Aena lists desks in the arrivals hall and the baggage reclaim hall (level 0), opposite the security checkpoints and in boarding area D. Details are on Aena's information and meeting points page.
Flights, tickets and travel documents
Your airline – not the airport – is responsible for schedules, cancellations, rebooking, refunds, check-in and boarding deadlines, seat and baggage allowances, and checking that you have the right travel documents. Aena states that it is not the organisation responsible for checking your documentation. Contact the airline through the channel shown on your booking; at the airport, go to its desk on level 1.
Passport control at the border is carried out by the Policía Nacional, and customs by the Agencia Tributaria. Neither is part of Aena. For flight times on the day, use the airline's notifications and the airport screens; our departures and arrivals pages are for orientation only.
Lost luggage and lost property
Checked bag missing, delayed or damaged. Report it before leaving the baggage reclaim hall, at the baggage desk of the ground handler or airline that handles your flight, and keep the written report. Handling at Málaga is carried out by Aviapartner, Groundforce, Menzies Aviation Ibérica, South Europe Ground Services and Flyme on behalf of airlines; Aena lists lost-luggage desks on level 0 for Groundforce, Aviapartner, South Europe Ground Services, Ryanair, Norwegian and easyJet. The aeronautical information publication also lists Groundforce on +34 952 974 510 / 137 and Aviapartner on +34 672 404 787, but your airline remains responsible for the claim. More on our baggage page.
Item lost in the terminal (on a seat, at security, in a shop). Aena's lost-property office is on level 1, in the check-in area opposite desk 380 – Aena describes it as the departures area of Terminal T3 – before security. Call (+34) 913 211 000 or use Aena's online request form. You need proof of identity to collect an item, or a written authorisation if someone collects it for you. Aena does not post items; if you cannot return, you have to arrange a courier yourself. Details on our lost property page.
Items left on a train, bus or taxi are handled by that operator, not by Aena.
Assistance for passengers with reduced mobility
The free assistance service is run by Aena under EU Regulation 1107/2006. Tell your airline or travel agent when you book; this is the obligatory step. You can also request the service directly from Aena at least 48 hours before departure:
- Aena Barrier Free (Sin Barreras): (+34) 91 321 10 00, from 07:00 to 00:00 (hours checked 9 October 2026).
- Online booking: Aena assistance service.
See our special assistance page for meeting points and what to expect.

Complaints
- About the airport (facilities, cleanliness, assistance, Aena services): use Aena's procedures and claims portal.
- About a flight (delay, cancellation, denied boarding, baggage): complain to the airline first, in writing, and keep copies.
- Escalation: Aena names the State Air Safety Agency (AESA) as the body to escalate assistance and passenger-rights complaints to. Find current contact details on AESA's website.
- Transport: each bus, train or taxi operator has its own complaints channel.
Before you call: what to have ready
- Your flight number and date, and the booking reference.
- For baggage: the bag tag receipt, a description of the bag and the written report from the baggage desk.
- For lost property: where and when you think you lost the item, and a description with any distinctive marks.
- For assistance: your flight details, contact information including an e-mail address, and the help you need.
- Remember that Spain is on Central European Time; if you are calling from the UK or Ireland, Spain is one hour ahead.

Travel tips
- Report a missing checked bag before you leave the reclaim hall – it is much harder afterwards.
- Lost property in the terminal and lost luggage are handled by different organisations.
- Your airline, not Aena, decides on refunds, rebooking and compensation.
- Request assistance at least 48 hours before departure, through the airline and, optionally, Aena.
- Aena does not post lost items; plan to collect in person or by courier.
- Keep 112 for real emergencies anywhere in Spain.
